My Mean Green Smoothie

Green smoothie

Smoothies are all the rage these days- specifically ones of the green variety.  Adding some kale or spinach not only gives a beautiful green hue to your fruit smoothie, but it also adds fiber, vitamin A, C, and K.  And because of the sweetness from the fruit, the green veggies don’t have much of a flavor at all.  My favorite green smoothie is a wonderful way to start the day.  Usually I’m not too hungry for breakfast in the early morning before work, so this smoothie is easy way to get a power boost that does not drag me down.  The fiber, vitamins, and cancer fighting phytonutrients make this recipe a great choice to make every day.

Kids love green smoothies too!  They love the bright green color and the sweet taste is a wonderful way for any picky eater to eat their veggies without hiding them.
